The Caring People reach out with love, support, and prayer to over 500 Single Moms in thirty-six Care Groups throughout the Midwest and in Central America. Thanksgiving and Christmas aren’t always the easiest for Single Moms and their children. Their are so many struggles a Single Mom must endure at Christmas all with a smile on her face, and in her voice. No mom wants to disappoint her children at Christmas. Already this Christmas many of the Single Moms we care for have been blessed by special gifts, and events throughout our TCP chapters. Branson, Mo. – December 12, 2016 Heather Haygood ( View Heather’s Story) learned of the Caring People through her husband Dominic. Dominic and his siblings spent many years at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo. entertaining. They now host their own show, The Haygood’s. Heather knows the struggles of being a Single Mom. Her heart’s desire is to lead women to God’s truth. Her particular struggles as a former Single Mom inspired her to give back to the Caring People, and so, she decided to film her own video depicting her struggles at Christmas so we might share it with others. Branson, Mo. – November 16, 2016 Several thousand runners descended upon the hills and streets of Silver Dollar City for Run to the Lights, November 11th. The effort, hosted by SDC and sponsored by Elite Automotive and a host of area sponsors raised nearly $90,000 towards the area ministry of the Caring People reaching out to Single Moms and their children. “We couldn’t have been happier with the turn out, and wonderful weather for the 11th annual Run to the Lights,” Cindy Shorey, CEO shared.
